Need an Official Docket or Record?
For a public court record, begin with the official court named on the citation, notice, or case caption. The Ingham County Circuit Clerk maintains Circuit filings and records. The clerk’s published records route identifies the Lansing counter as 313 W Kalamazoo, Lansing, MI 48901, with the Circuit Clerk’s main phone at 517-483-6500 and records extension 6816. Mail records requests go to PO Box 40771, Lansing, MI 48901; the research also identifies a full-service Mason Circuit location at 315 S Jefferson, third floor.
Use the court-specific route for district cases. Lansing district matters belong with 54-A; East Lansing district matters belong with 54-B; 55th District Court is the district route for the rest of Ingham County, including Mason, Williamston, and Leslie. Circuit or Probate matters use the countywide record and hearing routes. Court staff can explain the current request channel, but only the responsible custodian can determine access to a restricted record.
- Docket or case history: use the official Ingham court portal or the court’s public search route, then contact the clerk if the file is missing or restricted.
- Court date or setting: use the Ingham Hearing Schedule for Circuit or Probate, recheck close to the event, and contact the court for urgent confirmation.
- Certified copy: request it from the clerk holding the original record. Certified Circuit copies are not sent by email or fax because they require an embossed seal.
- 55th District record: use the 55th records-management page for online and onsite lookup information.
- Statewide district case search: use MiCOURT and select the appropriate local court.
This site is not a government office and cannot accept record requests, filings, payments, or court-date changes. For time-sensitive matters, use the court’s current official contact information rather than relying on a portal display.
