Why We Built This Site
Ingham County has several court-record paths. The 30th Circuit Court and Ingham Probate Court use countywide systems, while 54-A serves Lansing, 54-B serves East Lansing, and the 55th District Court serves the rest of the county. A city name, a case type, and a court abbreviation can point to different official sources. This site gathers that local routing information in one place so people can begin with the court that actually keeps the record.
It is an informational reference, not a government office. Official records remain with the applicable court, clerk, and records-management office. Michigan Court Rule 8.119 and each court’s current local procedures control access to court files.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: local explanations for criminal dockets, civil dockets, and public case histories.
- Setting information: links and context for the court calendar and hearing-date confirmation.
- Search choices: a case search route for party names and case numbers, including county and MiCOURT distinctions.
- Records channels: an overview of court records, copy requests, certification, and clerk access.
- Traffic routing: the traffic court paths for Ingham citations and deadlines.
What We Cannot Do
This site cannot retrieve an official case file, issue a certified copy, change a setting, seal or amend a record, or give legal advice. A portal display is not a clerk-certified record. Courts may restrict records under rule, statute, or order, and an absent online result does not explain why a record is unavailable.
- We cannot confirm a hearing date for a particular case.
- We cannot decide whether a record is public or sealed.
- We cannot tell a visitor how a specific case will be resolved.
- We cannot accept filings, fees, or record requests.
- We cannot substitute for the Circuit Clerk, a district-court clerk, or the Probate records custodian.
For an official or certified court record, contact the court or clerk that holds the original file. Ingham County’s Circuit Clerk, district courts, and Probate Court each maintain different records.
Search Partners
Some content pages include a third-party search box. Those services set their own terms, prices, and results. A paid signup through one of those services may produce a referral fee for this privately operated site. That arrangement does not give this site access to government records, and it does not make any third-party result an official court record. Confirm material information with the originating Ingham County court or clerk.
